The Georgia Child Support Commission Staff regularly hosts trainings to walk through the basics of the GA child support calculator and guidelines. The Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution co-hosts a few of these per year to ensure registered neutrals have access to mediator-specific guidance. You - attorneys and mediators - have been asking for an opportunity to “dive deeper”, and we have heard your request! Here's your chance to have the GA Child Support Commission staff help you navigate your thorniest questions and stickiest situations regarding child support calculations, guidelines, and income deduction orders.

Noelle Lagueux-Alvarez, Esq.

Noelle Lagueux-Alvarez serves the Judicial Council of Georgia / Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) as Assistant Division Director for Communication, Children, Families, and the Courts. She is an attorney with over sixteen years of professional legal experience and is staff to the Georgia Child Support Commission.

Elaine Johnson

Elaine Johnson serves as an Executive Program Manager, a position created by an interagency contract between the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) and the AOC. Elaine came to the AOC in October 2007 and also serves as staff to the Georgia Child Support Commission.

Elaine works on the child support calculator in its design, maintenance, and support., and she supports the Child Support Parent Accountability Courts.

Latoinna Lawrence

Latoinna Lawrence is employed by the AOC and serves as a Program Coordinator for the Communications, Children, Families, and the Courts Division. Latoinna joined the AOC in November of 2018 and primarily serves as staff to the Georgia Child Support Commission. In her work, Latoinna assists with the planning and coordination of meetings, trainings, and conferences.

Kurt C. Bryan

Kurt grew up in Rome, Georgia, and graduated from Berry College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Prior to working for the AOC, he spent 14 years with the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) and the Department of Human Services.

Those attending via livestream will not have access to view sessions presented in Room A, but will have access to a recording of these sessions (and all others) during the month of December (2023). Those attending the conference in person will have a choice between two breakout sessions, held at 10:00 AM and 2:15 PM. Like livestream attendees, a recording of all sessions will be available to in-person attendees for the month of December (2023).

Continuing Education Information

GA Child Support: “The Doctor is In” is approved for 1 hour of CE for registered neutrals (GA) & 1 hour of CLE for Georgia attorneys (pending).

The total conference is approved for 6 hours of CE for registered neutrals and is approved by the State Bar of Georgia for 6 CLE hours, including ethics, trial, and professionalism credit.

All CE for neutrals registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution will be automatically applied by December 2.

Georgia Attorneys who purchase the appropriate ticket option will have CLE hours automatically reported to the State Bar of Georgia. The fee for CLE hours is included in the ticket price.
