Melissa Ewing is a South Georgia native and “Double Dawg” graduate from the University of Georgia. She has practiced in Atlanta and the surrounding area for more than 20 years as a civil litigation attorney with a focus on business litigation, partnership and shareholder/member disputes, contract disputes, negligence, real estate and construction disputes, and defamation. She also has experience in the entertainment industry including prior ownership of Peachtree and 5th, LLC through which she wrote and produced several independent film and video projects, including a short film and reality TV pilot, brand marketing videos, and a documentary project.
Since 2019, Melissa has been a General Civil Mediator in Georgia. Part of her reason for opening The Ewing Firm in 2023 was to focus more time towards mediation in addition to her law practice. She is currently on court rosters for Cobb County, Gwinnett County, and the Tifton Judicial Circuit. She enjoys helping parties work to resolve their disputes and believes her legal experience and attention to detail, open-minded personality, and creative background assist in exploring potential options and approaches for resolution and problem solving.
